Welcome to Lich King's Azeroth
Lich King's Azeroth is a private, invite-only World of Warcraft server running the Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) expansion. We are not advertised publicly; this community grows through friends inviting friends.
How to Join
Getting started is simple. We have pre-configured the game client for you, so no complex installation is required.
Step 1: Download the Client
You will need the WotLK client configured to run on our server (LichKing.myddns.me).
Download the pre-configured client from our Google Drive below:
Step 2: Install & Play
The download is a single zip file containing the main folder. Simply unzip the folder to anywhere on your local drive.
- There is no installation to run.
- It will not conflict with other WoW clients on your system.
- Open the folder and run WOW.exe to play.
Step 3: Create Your Account
You can now generate your own account using our automated system, but you will need a valid Invite Code. There is no need to proceed if you do not have one.
Please contact the friend who referred you to get your code, then click the Create Account link in the sidebar.
Server Features & Changes
This server looks and plays almost identically to the original Blizzard WotLK servers, but we have made specific "Quality of Life" changes to balance the gameplay for a smaller population.
🤖 AI Players & LLM Integration
To ensure the world doesn't feel empty, there are AI players roaming the server. These aren't standard bots; they are tied into a Large Language Model (LLM) similar to ChatGPT.
⚔️ Custom Rates & Balance
- Experience (XP): Increases at roughly 2x the standard Blizzard speed.
- Durability: Items take damage at 50% the normal rate to help equalize play.
- Aggro Range: Mob aggro distance is reduced by about 10%.
🧙 Dungeon Masters
Look for "Dungeon Master" NPCs located in well-trafficked areas. Speaking with them allows you to teleport directly to the entrance of the dungeon of your choice.
Inviting Friends
Any registered player with an active account can generate an Invite Code to give to another player.
